Police use stun gun to end Aberdeen standoff
ABERDEEN (AP) — Police in Aberdeen used a stun gun to subdue a man who holed up in his house and kept authorities at bay for 6 ½ hours while threatening to harm himself.
Police say Monday's standoff began when officers conducted a welfare check at the request of the man's family. They eventually subdued him about 3:30 p.m. and took him to a hospital.
