Police seek information on recovered safe case
A safe stolen earlier this month from Mitchell Locker has been recovered, but with several hundred dollars missing.
The 18-inch-wide safe was taken after at least one person forcibly entered Mitchell Locker between June 2 and June 6. The safe was later found west of Mitchell in a ditch near 256th Street about one-quarter mile east of 401st Avenue.
The area is approximately 1.5 miles south of Interstate 90 and two miles west of Betts Road.
Several hundred dollars were missing from the safe when it was recovered.
Call Mitchell Area Crime Stoppers with any information regarding this incident, or suspicious activity in these areas at this time, at 996-1700.
