Plankinton teen injured in rollover
PLANKINTON -- A 19-year-old woman suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle rollover Wednesday about 3 miles east of Plankinton.
Lizbeth Spinar, of Plankinton, was driving southbound on 389th Avenue, a gravel road, in a 2001 GMC Jimmy when she lost control of the vehicle, which caused it to slide into the ditch and roll, according to South Dakota Highway Patrol Lt. Jeff DeVaney.
Spinar was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle during the crash, but suffered only minor injuries, DeVaney said. She was taken by private vehicle to Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell.
Spinar was cited for careless driving and for not wearing a seatbelt.
