Pierre School Board buying land for new elementary
PIERRE (AP) — The Pierre School Board has voted to spend $1.25 million to buy land for a new elementary school.
The 10 ½-acre property is in an undeveloped area in the northeastern part of the capital city. Construction will start after the city builds roads to the area.
School board committees plan to meet Thursday to start design work on the new school.
