Pierre man pleads guilty to area burglary
A Pierre man pleaded guilty Tuesday to third-degree burglary for breaking into a Mitchell Plumbing and Heating storage building.
Logan Sean Jacobs, 22, also admitted to violating the state 24/7 Sobriety program three times since he was released from jail on Sept. 11.
He faces a maximum of 10 years in prison and a $20,000 fine as a result of the conviction.
In exchange for the plea, prosecutors dismissed a charge of possession of a weapon or tool with the intent to commit burglary.
Judge Rodney Steele allowed Jacobs to remain out on bail but said if he violates probation again he will stay in jail until he is sentenced.
A presentence investigation was ordered and sentencing was set for November.
