Park and Recreation Director for Mitchell Dusty Rodiek said the park is at least the fourth playground to be refurbished under his management. The park cost around $97,000, with half being spent on new equipment and the other half on new playground surfacing, with local groups donating money toward the new surfacing. The old playground equipment was "over 20 years and closer to 25 years old," said Rodiek.
