City of Mitchell employees position the Mitchell Community Christmas Tree earlier this week across the street from the Corn Palace. The Corn Palace will host Christmas at the Palace from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday. Complimentary cookies and chili will be served while supplies last from 5 to 7 p.m., and Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 4 p.m. The lighting ceremony for the Community Christmas Tree will be at 7 p.m. (Sean Ryan/The Daily Republic)2 / 3
