PHOTOS: Carnegie Resource Center upgrades

From left, Mel Pooley, Carnegie Resource Center volunteer, and Randy Newsam, Mueller Lumber employee, recently installed the restored front doors of the Carnegie Resource Center after a two month restoration period. Also included in the project is a new gallery ceiling and lighting on the main floor. The main floor bathroom has been remodeled. The newly restored front doors to the Carnegie Resource Center in Mitchell. Mel and Karen Pooley spent 140 hours restoring the doors to their original condition as part of the remodeling project. While they worked, a white door was placed on the center, which led to many thinking it was permanent.An anonymous $50,000 donation was received by the Carnegie Resource Center in December.
