The Artesian Street Dance attracted a large crowd Saturday June, 21 before ending early because of lightning and rain. The dance started in the early 1970s by the American Legion in Artesian and is now hosted by the Community Improvement Association in Artesian as a fundraiser for recreation activities for children and community members according to president Clayton Dean.
