NorthWestern Energy employees (left to right) Travis Byrd, Drew Nelson, and Jerry Bertsch finish cleaning around the last tree to be planted Thursday morning at Northridge Park in Mitchell. NorthWestern donated the money for 30 trees and employees took time off to plant the trees according to the company’s spokesman Tom Glanzer. This is the third year the company has planted trees in South Dakota, “it is just our way of giving back to the community” said Glanzer. (Sean Ryan/The Daily Republic)
