Karen Prickett, activity supervisor for Firesteel Healthcare Center, said the MCS students and their teachers visit Firesteel every month to sing songs, help with coffee time and spend time with the residents. Prickett said the Volunteer of the Year award went to Terry Callender, a retired minister who helps line up sermons and plan religious programs for the residents.
