NorthWestern Energy linemen replace a line transformer in Menno early Tuesday. The transformer failed around 7:15 a.m. and crews had power restored shortly before noon. About 10 homes on the east side of town were affected. One lineman said the transformer had been weakened by a lightning strike several months ago. (Ross Dolan/For The Daily Republic)
