Payment plan OK'd for Mitchell burglar
A Mitchell man has agreed to pay $500 per month toward restitution related to a third-degree burglary conviction.
Ronald Sweeney, 33, pleaded guilty in May 2010 to third-degree burglary for entering a building owned by Wenzel Construction and stealing a saw, drill and some coins. He was sentenced to 94 days in jail and received a suspended four-year prison sentence. He also was ordered to pay $7,981.48 in restitution to Roger Wenzel.
Sweeney, who appeared in court Tuesday for allegedly failing to pay his restitution, agreed to a payment plan that will have him paying $500 per month.
Sweeney is scheduled to appear in court in August for a review of his case.
