The National Weather Service in Sioux Falls says large hail and isolated tornadoes are possible. The Associated Press report on this issue did not provide details about which counties are covered by the watch.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to continue to develop and move primarily in areas north of Interstate 90 and east of Interstate 29 Thursday afternoon.

The weather service says most of the rain through 4 p.m. should hit northeast of a line from Huron, South Dakota, to Spencer, Iowa.

The storms in southwest Minnesota could produce hail up to the size of baseballs and gusts of about 65 mph.
