One injured in cement truck accident
WINFRED -- A Sioux Falls man was injured Tuesday when a cement truck tipped onto its side in Miner County.
Raphael Whitlock, 41, was driving a cement truck for Winter Inc., a concrete company, and was headed to the Shannon Hutterite Colony. He was driving west on Highway 34 and turned south onto Highway 81 in Miner County. He took the corner too sharp and the truck overturned, according to Miner County Dispatch.
Whitlock was transported to Madison Community Hospital by Miner County Ambulance for non-life threatening injuries.
Damage to the truck was extensive, according to Miner County Dispatch. Mitchell's Dick's Body Shop helped get the truck upright and then towed it from the scene.
Howard Fire Department and Miner County Sheriff's Office also responded to the scene.
