Oldham-Ramona teacher, coach indicted for rape
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Authorities say the golf coach of an eastern South Dakota school district has been indicted on rape and sexual contact charges.
The Argus Leader reports that 37-year-old Jeffrey Loren Nolte faces two counts of rape and one count of sexual contact with a child younger than 16 years old. The incidents allegedly occurred between 2010 and 2014.
Nolte's attorney information couldn't be found. He's scheduled to be arraigned in March.
Nolte, a high school math teacher, was arrested in January on rape charges involving two girls. He was released on bond.
Lincoln County's prosecutor says the alleged incidents didn't involve students. The newspaper reports the Canton man's indictment pertains to one victim.
The Oldham-Ramona School District superintendent says Nolte has been suspended. Nolte joined the district this academic year.
