Noem far outpacing Robinson in contributions
SIOUX FALLS (AP) — Republican U.S. Rep Kristi Noem is far outpacing her Democratic challenger in fundraising in her bid to serve South Dakota for another two years.
Noem took in nearly $300,000 in campaign contributions during the last three months of 2013 and is reporting nearly $845,000 cash on hand at the end of the year.
Democractic challenger Corinna Robinson took in nearly $24,000 in contributions, including just under $7,200 in contributions from herself. Federal Election Commission filings show She also loaned her campaign $20,000 and is reporting just under $15,000 cash on hand at the end of the year.
Robinson is a Rapid City native who spent 25 years in the Army.
Noem is in her second term as South Dakota's lone member of the U.S. House of Representatives.
