Noem attends White House meeting
WASHINGTON — Rep. Kristi Noem, R-S.D., announced she was scheduled to be part of the delegation of House Republicans meeting with President Obama on Thursday at the White House.
“In the past, government funding bills have always included negotiations, but this time there has been no real dialogue between the parties,” she said in a written statement. “I’m hopeful that this meeting will begin to change that. I remain willing to talk and find common ground. In a divided government, both sides need to be willing to negotiate and drop their demands. I’m optimistic the conversation at the White House will be a positive development.”
