No cause determined for power outage that hit Chamberlain area
No cause has been determined for a power outage that affected about 970 Central Electric consumers Monday in the Pukwana, Chamberlain and Kimball areas.
According to Ken Schlimgen, Central Electric Cooperative director of member services and marketing, all consumers had been restored power Monday afternoon after an outage earlier in the day.
He said East River Electric Power Cooperative, of Madison, which supplies Central Electric with power, lost power to Pukwana, Hilltop, Chamberlain and Kimball substations. Multiple crews were dispatched to the area in an effort to locate the cause of the problem.
