Names released in Christmas crash
A Sioux Falls man remains in the hospital after suffering life-threatening injuries in a crash Wednesday on Interstate 90 just west of the Bridgewater exit.
Aaron Litka, 21, was driving west in his Chevy Trailblazer when his vehicle hit ice and went into the median.
Soon after that, John Larson, 56, of Iowa, was driving a Ford F-350 west on I-90 and hit a patch of ice. The truck struck Litka’s vehicle.
Litka was airlifted to Sioux Falls. Lt. Alan Welsh with the Highway Patrol in Sioux Falls said Litka suffered head and internal injuries. Litka was in critical but stable condition as of Thursday evening, Welsh said.
Larson and his wife Constance, 56, were transported by Salem Ambulance with minor injuries.
