Mount Marty defeats DWU in GPAC match

Mount Marty College junior defensive specialist and Mitchell native Courtney Miller had a match-high 15 digs in the Lancers’ three-set victory over Dakota Wesleyan University Tuesday at the Christen Family Wellness Center on DWU’s campus.

Set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 25-17. The victory was the Lancers’ first Great Plains Athletic Conference win of the season.

DWU was led by Katie Vetch with eight kills, while Briana Jung tallied 15 assists and nine digs. Maggie Stehly recorded a team-high 12 digs for the Tigers (7-22, 0-12 GPAC).

Kristen Boyle led Mount Marty (12-16, 1-10 GPAC) with eight kills.

The Tigers play at Dakota State University today.
