Mitchell’s Culver’s falls short of top prize
Mitchell’s Culver’s was not selected as the winner of this year’s Culver’s Crew Challenge contest.
The Mitchell restaurant’s owner/operator Jason Bradley said Thursday the winner was the Culver’s in Darboy, Wis. As first place winners, the Darboy location will get $50,000, which will go to the “team members,” as Culver’s employees are known. Mitchell was one of four finalists, along with Darboy, Darien, Ill., and Corydon, Ind.
This is the first time Culver’s has held the contest. As runners-up, each location, including Mitchell, will receive $10,000, which also will go to the team members.
Bradley admitted it was disappointing to not be named the champion, but said “it’s been a fun ride.”
“It was a pleasure to get this far,” he said, adding that $10,000 for his team members doesn’t feel like losing. “We still won. We couldn’t have done it without our guests, our team.”
