Mitchell woman pleads not guilty in meth case
A Mitchell woman pleaded not guilty Tuesday during court at the Davison County Public Safety Center to possession of a controlled substance.
Sara Goetzinger, 22, is accused of possessing methamphetamine after Mitchell law enforcement conducted a consent search of Goetzinger's apartment March 21, according to court documents. During the search, a law enforcement officer allegedly found a straw burned at both ends that tested positive for meth. Goetzinger admitted to smoking meth with the straw, according to court documents.
The charge carries a maximum punishment of 10 years in prison, a $20,000 fine or both.
Judge Tim Bjorkman scheduled the case for a jury trial in October.
