Mitchell White picks up second win of season

The Mitchell White teener baseball team split with Watertown Monday, picking up its second win of the season.

Mitchell won the opener 19-10 and fell in the finale 17-13.

In the first game, Jacob Jarding got the start on the mound, allowing six runs in four innings. Logan Sparks went 5-for-5 with four runs scored and Reese Sievert 5-for-5 with three runs scored and six RBIs.

Sievert was the starting pitcher in the second game, suffering the loss.

Drew Bollinger went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and a double, while Sparks went 3-for-4 with three runs scored.

Mitchell White (2-10) plays in a tournament this weekend in Brookings.
