Mitchell students awarded for poetry, prose at SDSU
Three Mitchell School District students recently won awards in the Jerome Norgren Poetry Contest the Paul Witherington Contest for Prose at South Dakota State University in Brookings.
In the middle school poetry division, Gharret Johnson won third place for "New York City," and classmate Rhi Johnson's submission "The Farm" was named an honorable mention. Both students submitted their pieces under the guidance of their teacher, Anne Moege.
In the high school prose division, Miles Rothlisberger's "The Lended World" received third place. His teacher is Deb Everson.
