Mitchell police investigate stolen computers

Sometime between 8:15 p.m. Tuesday and 10:20 a.m. Wednesday, a person or people forcibly entered a building located on the 300 block of East Havens in Mitchell, where Touch of Cajun is located.

There were two Toshiba Celron C Series laptop computers, gray in color, stolen from the building. The computers were valued at approximately $900.

If you have information in relation to this incident, or if you have information regarding suspicious activity in this area at this time, or information relating to any other crime, please call Crime Stoppers at 996-1700. Remember you do not have to identify yourself, and a cash reward is available if it leads to the arrest of the subject or subjects involved. There are no caller identifications attached to this phone line, so you will remain anonymous. To send a crime tip via text message, text “MITCS,” plus your message, to 274637. Upon receipt of a tipster’s first incoming message the system will autoreply with a confirmation containing the tipster’s unique tip ID.
