Mitchell man pleads no contest in August stabbing incident
A 21-year-old Mitchell man pleaded no contest Tuesday to aggravated assault for stabbing two people with a steak knife.
Charles Medicine Horn faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine as a result of the plea. Prosecutors agreed to drop another aggravated assault charge in exchange for the plea.
Medicine Horn was arrested Aug. 4 for stabbing two people during an altercation at a residence at 416 W. 10th Ave.
On Tuesday, Medicine Horn told the court he decided to plead no contest because he was too intoxicated to remember the incident.
He is scheduled to be sentenced in November.
