Mitchell man guilty of escape
A Mitchell man pleaded guilty Tuesday to an escape charge.
Joshua Carter, 22, entered his plea during court at the Davison County Public Safety Center.
Carter failed to return or turn himself in to the custody of the Davison County sheriff after he completed a treatment program in September. The conviction carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison, a $10,000 fine or both.
Judge Tim Bjorkman ordered a presentence investigation and scheduled sentencing for December.
