Mitchell man charged with possession of a controlled substance
A Mitchell man is accused of illegally possessing a prescription drug.
Wade Venosdel, 56, has been indicted for possession of a controlled substance, clonazepam. He allegedly possessed the drug on Feb. 24. The drug is a prescription for treating anxiety and seizures. He is also charged with misdemeanor offenses of possession of 2 ounces of marijuana or less, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
A search warrant has been issued for his arrest.
The possession of a controlled substance charge carries a maximum penalty upon conviction of two years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
