Mitchell man arrested for drunken driving
A Mitchell man was arrested Sunday for drunken driving after he flipped his vehicle.
Chad Fox, 22, was driving his 2000 Isuzu VCS in the 800 block of East First Avenue when it struck a parked car around 2 a.m. Fox's vehicle flipped onto its top, said Sgt. Dave Bientema.
Medics checked over Fox and a juvenile passenger for minor injuries. Neither were wearing seat belts and suffered scrapes and scratches.
Fox was arrested after the investigation for DUI, careless driving and expired license plates.
Fox was later transported to Mitchell's Avera Queen of Peace Hospital for a blood draw to test his alcohol level, and he was treated there for minor injuries, Bientema said.
Fox's vehicle was a total loss. The parked car sustained about $5,000 in damage.
