Mitchell man arrested for assaulting, threatening fiancé
A Mitchell man was arrested Nov. 8 for allegedly assaulting his fiancé and threatening her with a knife.
Dustey Alan Bowar, 25, is charged with domestic aggravated assault as a result of the incident.
He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison and a $30,000 fine.
According to a police affidavit, Bowar and his fiancé were arguing at their residence at 2911 N. Ohlman St. when Bowar allegedly dragged her by her shirt to a back bedroom, held her down and threatened her with knife before letting her go.
Bowar refused to speak with Mitchell Police Division about the incident, but the knife was found in a clothes hamper in the back bedroom of the residence, where the alleged assault supposedly took place, the affidavit says.
Bowar is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
