Mitchell city planners to consider three variance requests
The Mitchell Planning and Zoning Commission will review an application from Mitchell Wesleyan Church for a variance to construct an addition, located at 601 N. Sanborn Blvd.
The request is being made because the height limitation will not be met.
The planners meet at noon today at City Hall Council Chambers, 612 N. Main St.
The planners will also:
Review the application of Steve McCullough for a variance to construct an addition at 713½ W. 2nd Ave. The request is being made because the front and rear yard setbacks will not be met as he will provide a 19-foot setback, not the required 30 feet and an 11 foot back yard when 35 feet is required.
Review the application of Scott Phillips for a variance to construct a garage at 700 S Minnesota St. He is proposing a 1,152-square-foot building instead of the maximum 1,050 square feet.
The commission will also review a plan from Excel Construction for the northeast corner of South Sanborn Boulevard and West Birch Avenue as well as sign proposals from Lewis Pharmacy, Custom Plus Collision and Goodwill.
