The event will be sponsored and hosted by First Dakota National Bank in conjunction with a Chamber of Commerce "'Mix and Mingle" from 5 to 7 p.m.

If 500 tickets can be sold, the Mitchell Aquatic Club will be able to purchase new timing equipment and the Mitchell Area Charitable Foundation will meet its fundraising campaign goal and earn a $50,000 matching grant from the South Dakota Community Foundation.

"We are calling this year's event 'The Time Has Come,' " said Scott Fossum, fundraising chairman with the Mitchell Aquatic Club. "Our timing software is outdated that when it's replaced, we will also need to update our equipment to accommodate the new features and timing requirements. It has served us well, but it is time for it to be replaced. The estimated cost is right around $10,000."

Raffle tickets are $50 with the first place prize being $5,000. Numerous other prizes with a value of $100 or more will be drawn in the two days prior to the event and that evening.

For more information about tickets, call Fossum at 605-770-2360.

Mark and Chris Buche and Jerry and Pam Thomsen are sponsoring the $5,000 prize money.

Doug Eidahl, president of the Mitchell Area Charitable Foundation, said, "Last year, we had a successful partnership with the Mitchell Show Choir with proceeds going toward new risers; this year, we're looking forward to completing the MACF's fundraising campaign, and at the same time, seeing the Mitchell Aquatic Club replace their timing software and equipment."

Two early drawings will take place on KMIT's morning show on Oct. 21 and 22. The Chamber Mix and Mingle on Oct. 22 is open to the public and everyone is invited to attend.
