Mitchell ACT announces 2013-14 season
Mitchell Area Community Theatre's first production of the 2013-14 season will be "Grease," which opens on Aug. 2.
"Grease" is a 1950s rock and roll musical by Jim Jacobs and Warren Casey.
ACT will join with Dakota Wesleyan University to present the popular British farce, "No Sex Please, We're British" by Anthony Marriott and Alistair Foot, which will open on Oct. 4.
This year's holiday show will be "A Tuna Christmas" by Jaston Williams, Joe Sears and Ed Howard, starting on Dec. 6.
On Feb. 28, 2014, the curtain will open to "Steel Magnolias," a drama by Robert Harling.
The season finale will bring the timeless classic "Annie" by Thomas Meehan, Charles Strause and Martin Charnin to the Pepsi Cola Theatre stage starting on May 2, 2014.
ACT season membership will go on sale on April 16. A new option this year will be for season members to reserve their seats for all five productions at the time they purchase their memberships. Tickets for each production will still only be available to the general public (non-members) starting two weeks prior to the production's opening night.
