Michael John Clark was born August 10, 1943, to John Patrick and Mary Ann Clark. He graduated from Artesian High School in 1961. He attended Northern State College and graduated from Huron College in 1972 with a degree in business. Already a successful banker, Mike continued that career for many years. In 1996, he purchased and operated Worthington Ford, Worthington MN, which he sold in 2005, and entered retirement. Within a short time, he realized he was not a retiring kind of guy, and resumed his banking career with Cortrust Bank in Sioux Falls until his death.

Mike married Waneen Schafer on January 8, 1966. That marriage produced two sons Richard and Timothy. Later, Mike and Waneen divorced. Mike married Lynn Nesseth January 23, 1990, a union which lasted his lifetime.

Mike loved God, his family, his friends, his work and golf. He was able to travel widely, enjoy fine meals, laugh with his friends, swear at his golf clubs (occasionally), and relish life with his wife, his children and his grandchildren.

Mike is survived by his wife, Lynn of Sioux Falls, son Richard (Emmie) of San Marcos CA, son Timothy (Kim) of Valley Center CA, step-children, Matthew (Kortney), Andrew (Lindsay), Thomas (Tari) Nesseth, of Jackson, MN, Abigail Nesseth of Shanghai China, and grandchildren Jacob, Brooke, Jonathan, and Maddison Clark, and Sylvia, Lena and Ella Nesseth , brother, Pat (Joyce) of Rapid City, sister Nancy Knutson (Bob) of Mankato, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one grandson, Leo Nesseth, and one niece, Michelle Pittillo.

Memorial Mass will be 11:00 am, Monday, March 17, 2014, (on St. Patricks Day) at St. Michael Catholic Church, 1600 South Marian Road, Sioux Falls, SD. Visitation will be 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 16, 2014, at Miller West Funeral Chapel, 41st and Valley View Road, Sioux Falls, SD.
