MHS girls lose to Aberdeen
ABERDEEN -- The Mitchell soccer team fell to defending state champion Aberdeen Central 10-0 Tuesday.
The game was stopped with 12 minutes left in the game due to the mercy rule.
The Kernels went into the half down 7-0 and allowed three goals in the second half.
"I think in the second half, our collective defense was much better," Mitchell girls' soccer coach Kayla Braffet said. "We are still in need of improvement. The mistakes that we were making today are mistakes that we as a coaching staff and team are aware of."
Mitchell hits the field against Groton Area at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Mitchell Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex.
