Barington's goal was her second of the game, third of the tournament and, most importantly for the Marlins, the game-winning goal, which broke a 4-4 tie with the Huron All Stars Saturday at the state hockey varsity tournament in Huron.

The All Stars maintained a 3-0 lead through the second period before Barington netted her first goal to get the Marlins on the board. Huron scored one more goal in the second; it would also be the last goal Huron scored in the game.

Mitchell stormed back to tie it up in the third period with two goals from Haley Stahl and one goal from Kassi Barington.

The Marlins face the Sioux Falls Flyers in the finals at 3:30 today in Huron.

Mitchell has won two of the teams' three contests this season.

Last year, the Marlins fell in the finals of the state varsity tournament to Brookings, which completed a four-peat by defeating Mitchell 5-2.
