Man pleads not guilty in fairgrounds horse case

FORT PIERRE (AP) — A man accused of releasing 37 horses at the Stanley County Fairgrounds has pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

Twenty-four-year-old James Pourier, of Lower Brule, is charged with aggravated assault, destruction of property, burglary, trespassing and injury to animals. He faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted on all of the counts.
