Lucille Catherine Jones was born on April 3, 1915, in Parkston, S.D., to Hubert and Catherine (Schmitz) Rademacher. In 1934, she graduated from Mitchell High School. On June 8, 1936, she and Paul M. Jones were married at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Dimock. After raising five children, she worked outside the home with School Food Service at Holy Family School in Mitchell for 11 years.

Lucille was an active member of her community and church, starting as a Cub Scout Den Mother when her children were young, and continuing later as a member of the Newman Club, Holy Family Catholic Church, and the Altar Society, serving one term as co-chair. She was a wonderful cook and baker, and an exceptional gardener, often sharing the results, such as canned goods from her vegetable garden and plants from flower beds. If not gardening, she spent her free time playing cards, either bridge with friends or canasta with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: daughter Barb Gohn, of Aberdeen, S.D.; and 4 sons, Frank (Phyllis), of Osceola, Iowa; Tom, Denver, Colo.; Dick (Joy), Madison, Wis.; Greg (Kathy), Bloomington, Minn.; 6 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents and 5 siblings; sister Florence Gard, and 4 brothers, Leo, who died in infancy; Elmer, Ves, and Bill.
