Lt. governor to speak in Lemmon, Hettinger
LEMMON, N.D. (AP) — South Dakota Lt. Gov. Matt Michels will be in the South Dakota town of Lemmon and the North Dakota town of Hettinger on Monday to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the two states' entrance into statehood.
Michels will speak at 3:30 p.m. MDT at the Lemmon Senior Center. He'll then head north to Hettinger, North Dakota for a 6:45 p.m. event at Mirror Lake Park.
The appearances are part of a joint effort of the South Dakota Humanities Council, the North Dakota Humanities Council and the 125th Anniversary Committees.
