Longtime SD Mines women's hoops coach done
RAPID CITY (AP) -- The longtime women's basketball coach at the South Dakota School of Mines will not return next season.
The Rapid City school issued a statement saying school officials and Barb Felderman mutually agreed not to renew her contract.
Felderman has been the Lady Hardrockers coach for 32 years. She says, "I have lived my dreams."
Felderman compiled a 474-397 record. She led teams to 11 conference championships and nine appearances in the NAIA tournament, including Final Four appearances in 1998 and 1999.
The gymnasium floor in the school's King Center is being named in her honor.
