List of SD rural hospitals threatened with closure
PIERRE (AP) — Twenty-six rural South Dakota critical access hospitals the state considers threatened by a federal agency's proposal that could take away the extra payments they get for service to Medicare patients because they are less than 35 miles from the nearest hospital, with location and distance to nearest hospital:
— Douglas County Memorial Hospital; Armour; 18.5 miles.
