LETTER: Preserve SD, Black Hills from mining

To the Editor:

I wish to encourage you to help preserve the Black Hills as it is an attractive destination for travel and a draw to prospective new neighbors.

This doesn’t even speak about our way of life now. The plentiful animals living side by side with humans. I live very close to this Dewey-Burdock site in a development called Custer Highlands. I have seen from my deck such beauty of the sunsets and animals strolling through my property. It is unbelieveable that these mining companies could even consider the project within such a short distance of a thriving community.

Don’t we want to keep the Black Hills an attractant instead of a deterrent?

Please support any anti-mine agenda to preserve South Dakota.
