LETTER: Abortion and evil love darkness
To the Editor:
Selective reporting: That seems to describe the media these days. Abortion is the sacred cow of the media elite. Never would they want to discourage someone from having an abortion or show the reality of the procedure.
For weeks, television and newsprint bombarded us with the Jodi Arias trial, regarding the murder of her boyfriend. How much front page news have you observed about Dr. Kermit Bornell, a late-term abortionist on trial for the death of a patient and the murder of viable babies, killing them by snipping their spinal cord? The media section in the courtroom was all but empty.
The clinic was found to be filthy and had not been inspected for well over 10 years. During the day, it was operated as a pill mill, with abortions being performed all hours of the night. Evil loves darkness.
If Americans were allowed to see the gruesomeness of abortion, perhaps there would be an outcry for overturning Roe v. Wade. But we have those in power, from Hollywood to Washington, D.C., who will fight for the right to kill the unborn no matter what.
Planned Parenthood is the largest provider of abortions, with the U.S. taxpayer subsidizing their kill-mills to the tune of $542 million in 2012, up 11 percent from the previous year. Of their budget, 45 percent of their money comes from us. Since when is this a function of our government?
Just last week, President Obama addressed Planned Parenthood, assuring them of his support in providing abortions, contraceptives and other services. He closed his remarks with "God bless you." The God I know must have shuddered when he heard that.
I hope all you so called pro-life voters, especially those who warm the church pews, are happy with the pro-abortion president you so heartily elected. May God have mercy on us.
