Armour - Leo Holbeck, 98, died at the Good Samaritan Center in Corsica on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 10:00 AM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour. Visitation will be Friday, October 4, 2013 from 5 - 7 PM at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Armour with a wake service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Leo was born August 6, 1915 on a farm southwest of Armour to Fred and Antonia (Skorpik) Holbeck. Leo was a dedicated farmer his entire life. He also worked maintenance for Southwest Airlines in Texas and played the saxophone. Leo was involved in leadership roles with Agland Coop and The Lions. Leo married Lory Wagner on February 6, 1943. They were married over 70 years and raised four children Larry, Robert, Deb and Randy. He was a good father and a wonderful grandfather. He will be missed dearly. Proceeding Leo in death were his parents Fred and Antonia Holbeck, sisters Marjorie DuBray, Effie Bringelson, brothers Ed, Fred, and Denny Holbeck. Leo is survived by his wife Lory Holbeck, and brother Clarence Holbeck. He is also survived by son Larry and June Holbeck (Armour SD) Robert and Tanya Holbeck (Salt Lake City, UT), Deb and Jake (Darold) Gjoraas (Minneapolis, MN), and Randy and Tammy Holbeck (Beaumont, TX). Eight grandchildren Domina Holbeck, Danielle Holbeck, Derek Holbeck, Dallas Holbeck, Amy and John Nelson, Ryan (fiancee Melanie Coleman) Gjoraas, Nick Holbeck, and Kristen Holbeck.
