Larry Don Peterson was born June 11, 1945 in Hawarden, IA, to Alvin and Marjorie (Carlson) Peterson. He received his early education in the local area. Larry and his family moved to South Dakota, and he graduated from Canova High School in 1963. In 1964 Larry married his high school sweetheart Linda (Kampshoff) and after many years together they amicably parted ways. After a few years of a new found youth, he danced his way into Eileens heart and they married in 1997.
Larry worked for many different companies in his career, which included being the Manager at the Cenex in Salem, owning the Coast-to-Coast Store in Hartford, and working at Menards for a few years. Ill health forced Larry to retire early, in 2005. Larry would live the rest of his life with some medical disabilities.
Larry had many hobbies which included his love of hunting, fishing, camping, and restoring old vehicles. He was especially proud of his 1964 Chevy Impala.
