Kernel soccer teams fall to Pierre

PIERRE -- The Kernel soccer teams opened the season with a pair of losses against Pierre on Tuesday.

The boys (0-1) fell 7-0 and the girls (0-1) lost 6-0.

Pierre's Cole Cruse scored a game-high three goals and two assists in the boys game.

In the girls game, Caelie Williams and Nikky Farnsworth each had two goals.

The Kernel programs look for their first wins on Thursday. They host Watertown in a doubleheader at 4 and 6 p.m. at the Pepsi-Cola Soccer Complex in Mitchell.
