Kernel baseball gets first home win

The Mitchell Kernels high school spring baseball team won for the first time at home this season with a doubleheader split against Watertown Friday at Cadwell Park in Mitchell.

Dylanger Pierson delivered a hit and two RBIs for the Kernels (7-6) in a 2-1 win in the second game. Matt Larson and Jed Schmidt each finished with a hit for Mitchell, which had three hits as a team.
