June V. Hohn, 88, Mitchell, lost her courageous battle with cancer on March 06, 2014 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital. The Lord wrapped his arms around Mom and said, "Come with Me".

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 PM Monday at the Will Funeral Chapel with a scripture service beginning at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.

She was born March 29, 1925, on the homestead at Milltown, South Dakota to Louie and Agnes (Mayhew) Christensen. She attended country school near Milltown, graduated from Parkston High School in 1943 and started her teaching career. She later graduated from Dakota Wesleyan University. She taught school for 35 years.

She was united in marriage to Wiburt "Dick" Hohn on September 17, 1945, in the Emsley Catholic Church near Ethan. Her husband passed away on February 17, 1993.

She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, D.A.V., The Women of the Moose, S.D.E.A., Red Hat Society and the Friday Lunch Bunch.

She is survived by her two daughters, Shirley "Sam" (Charles) Clark of Pierre, SD and Sharlene (James) Barns of Allen, TX; four grandchildren, Paul (Diane) Clark, Dustin Clark, Jami (Brian) Turchi and Jay Barns; two step-grandchildren, Nicole (Jeff) Bartscher, Cassie (Craig) Derry; two precious great grandchildren, Morgan and Brayden; five wonderful step-grandchildren; a twin brother James (Joan) Christensen of Glendive, Montana; sister in-law, Adeline Sprecher of Mitchell and many nieces and nephews.

She was proceed in death by her husband, parents, sister, Ione, infant sisters Francis and Leon, brothers, Charles, Bill and infant brother Charles.
