Joyce Timm, age 59, of Wolsey, died Saturday, November 16, 2013, at Huron Regional Medical Center. Her funeral service will be 10:30 am Thursday, November 21, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home in Huron with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be from 6-8 pm Wednesday, November 20, 2013, at Welter Funeral Home with a 7 pm prayer service; or Thursday morning one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Joyce Aileen Clark was born on November 23, 1953 in Mitchell to Bernard and Irene (Franey) Clark. She lived with her family in Spencer, SD and started school there before the family moved to Wessington Springs. Joyce graduated from Wessington Springs High School in 1971.
Joyce married Gary Timm on June 15, 1973 at First United Methodist Church in Huron. The couple made their home on the farm near Wolsey and the couple has lived in the same house for over 25 years. Joyce enjoyed raising her family on the farm where she was a homemaker, calf feeder, and photographer.
Joyce worked for Aerostar in Huron for over 15 years as a sewing machine operator and was affectionately known as the head cook at Shooters in Wolsey.
Joyce was a member of the Dearborn Township Election Board, and was a Wolsey Jayceette in the 70s.
She enjoyed photography, scrapbooking, genealogy, baking, and helping her family do various crafts Joyce was always looking for cows, angel, and banks to collect.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 40 years, Gary Timm of Wolsey; five children, Bill (Jenny Getscher) of Wolsey, Kristi Timm of Wolsey, Randy (Tara Hochhalter) Timm of Wolsey, Jeremy (Brandy) Timm of Columbia, SC, Ricky (Stephanie Mastel) of Wolsey; 12 grandchildren, Mychaela, William, Alison, Jerad, Shanlee, Cassidy, McKenzie, Cooper, Alexis, Grant, Shelby, Alex; brother, David Clark of Wolsey; sister, Judy (Rodney) Krueger of Wessington Springs; four sister-in-laws, Rosie Clark of Moorcroft, WY, Shirley Clark of Mitchell, Linda Clark of Huron, Sue Hughes of Huron; grandmother-in-law, Helene Van Buskirk of Huron; many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents; one grandchild, Angel Timm; five brothers Don, Tom, Ronny, Jim, and infant Robert; and sister, Bernadine Wenzel.
